New Holga Work

The latest images are new work (unpublished), and basically some more of the images that didn't make the cut for the show. (Which, by the way is becoming quite the reference point of my life. More on that, if you haven't heard yet, later...) All of these images, I really, really like, and it wasn't until recently that I came across them. Thanks to the wonderful world of digital photography, they all can be brought back with a simple scan. Joy. Too bad I didn't find them again until now, because they really would have tied into the show quite well. Hope all is well with everyone, and I'll post again soon.

Kevin.
Untitled. I'll always love this image. There's just something I cherish about the colors and the content. Lighthouse beach in Chatham has been really, really good to me. Posted by Picasa
Chatham, February Winds. An all to common sight. Posted by Picasa
Christmas in Manhattan. Rockafeller Plaza on a typical NYC winter day... snow, wind, more snow, more and more snow, wind knocking you over, more snow, wet feet... Ruined 2 pairs of shoes that weekend, I just remembered that. Damn... Posted by Picasa
Skateboarders @ Seaport. I just really liked the angle and the action. Posted by Picasa

Misc pix...

And finally to Jean. Thank you for showing me that no matter how hard I tried, I could never hide my face behind a 12oz plastic beer cup. A metaphor of sorts, when you think about it... actually, nevermind. Thanks Jean, for letting Meg live in NYC for a few months thus allowing me to take 2 of the 12 images in the show. Posted by Picasa

Misc pix...

...for the record, if anyone is ever trapped in a blizzard, and you need someone to drive a 4x4 truck thru snow banks and towing someone on a snowboard, and the windows are too fogged up to see and the defroster doesn't work... Benny Boy. That's your man. Thanks Benny, for conning all of your friends to take senior pictures with me. Ha, we fooled them. : ) Posted by Picasa

..Even the DC press core gets groupies sometimes... Posted by Picasa

If you know these people, and you don't laugh at this picture, there's something quite wrong with you. Perhaps you should seek professional help.

PS. Bonus points to anyone who remembers what they were singing... Posted by Picasa

Misc thanks and Pix...

Thanks to my "other mother" and that guy with his nose filled with her finger. Without the two of them, I would have never found that addiction to cookies in certain ceramic jars. Also without them, I would have never been able to impress girls with my "pool, right nextdoor". Also, thanks for showing me how to use a plunger. Wow, this is now getting a little too personal... Posted by Picasa

Misc pix and thanks...

Thanks to Shane Jackson Allowishious Blue Copenheaver-Smith and Kristen. Just know, both of you, that when I finally AM famous, then and only then can you turn around and say to me, "um, yea... about that wedding gift that you never got us?!!...." Both of you are inspirations to the rest of us young professionals trying to get it right, and imitate you guys. Thanks. Posted by Picasa

Misc Pix and thanks...

To Matty P and Linz. Without you both, I would have never had to even have this show. I mean, I have to make some money to compete. Really, have any of you guys seen the size of that ring?!?!? It's like the friggin' hope diamond! Posted by Picasa

Misc Thanks continued...

Thanks to my mother, the only family member to make it to the show. Just kidding... Well not really... I mean, there's 23 cousins, there's like 60 days to see the work. C'mon kids, get off your butts and get down here to DC. I promise White House tours to everyone... just as soon as Steve (Thomma) gets me that press pass... Posted by Picasa

Thanks and Misc. Pix...

I couldn't have had my show in DC without the help and effort of my father, who's fishing trips showed me that it wasn't necessarily the size of the fish, but the amount of time you spent on the water that really counted. ...oh, and the price of gas. ...and the price of the slip. ...and the price of oil. : ) Thanks Dad. Posted by Picasa
