ok, so i know a plate of calamari isn't exciting. no one ever said it was... but c'mon, how inviting does that picture look? it's almost asking you to go out and wrangle up some squid and buy a deep fryer for your own usage.
yea, so lately, here are some not so exciting, but still entertaining images that will be featured in the next issue of the magazine. let me know what you think.
...and feedback people. we're looking for feedback here. take a minute and make a login name, and gimme some post. thanks.

Last weeks scraps...
So last week I had the pleasure of meeting Al and Tipper Gore. Personally, I know Gore lost the 2000 election, but I think, in a fight, Gore would kick GWB's butt. He's a bigger guy in person than he is on the telly. Nice folks though. Nice event as well. (The Alice awards, in honor of woman's rights activist Alice Paul) Also, four-four (Hillary) showed up and gave a nice speech before she skooted off to another event. It always amazes me how well she speaks. Not that she couldn't before, but of the hundreds of people I've heard speak in the past 2 weeks, she's by far the most secure and proud of her words. Back to the grind... enjoy!

National Book Festival Weekend Here in DC...
oh, and oh yea, it's also the weekend of the protest here in DC.
welcome back kids! nothing like juxtaposing a war protester right next to a person in a "clifford the big red dog" costume. the cindy sherman led, traveling circus that is protesting the war picked a fine weekend to come an march on the capitol. ...that is, they would have, except that they didn't know that there was an IMF/World Bank protest this weekend too.... oh, and the president's sponsored book festival that is taking over the national mall as we speak. good times man, good times. thank goodness the book festival gala was last night. : ) among other dignitaries and heads of state, the evening was well attended by most of the presidents cabinet, and various luminaries from all walks of the literary world. from tom wolfe to dikembe mutombo, if to be seen was what you wanted, you needed a pass to get into the library of congress. needless to say, thanks to the fact that i now am the number one 'on staff' photographer for DC magazine, (a modern luxury publication) www.modernluxury.com some of us commoners got in. enjoy...

'sup boys and girls?
ok, i promised more images for the show, and here are some more, per request. the lobster trap that some of you may own or have hanging in your house will be included so not to worry... gina. as for the production, i'm open to ideas. part of me wants the prints to be 3x3's and to show them in gigantic mattes. the other part of me wants to print them 20x20 and hang them sans framing or matting. still there's this other part of me that wants to not even think about any of it, and sit back and play xbox and sip on a raspberry mojito as i bask in the afternoon sunlight. that part of me really needs to get off of his ass.
in other news, hopefully more freelance work shall be coming my way soon. this coming friday, in a wonderful twist of irony, i get to go meet the AD of modern luxury magazines at ... leopolds cafe. yes, the same leopolds i quit over their onsavory business practices. joy. to those of you who care, please wish me luck and enjoy the rest of the pics here. in any of you have any ideas as to any more pics that i have taken and i haven't put into this mix, please let me know and post a comment on this blog. sounds like a plan?
enjoy the rest of your wednesday...

welcome back!
greetings from the most liberal, most integrated, most expensive city in america... washington dc.
hey to all... well, since i couldn't come up with anything witty or tangible or even current affair related tonight, and i really wanted to get some stuff up and running on this blog, i have decided to post some images that are going to be featured in my first gallery show here in dc. (woooo!) below, and in no order, are some of the images that have been compiled over the past few, and have made it to the ranks of "hey, this kid isn't too bad...you wanna hang this stuff in here?" so anyways, take a gander, let me know what you think, crank up some decent tunes, and email me some feedback. even if you think they suck, and/or they make you want to drive by my house in georgetown and throw rocks at my house, i'd like to know. anyways, thanks, and enjoy.
