Special Insert AD, DC Magazine - April06
A Special Insert ad is one that the magazine has decided to feature. Some months it's real estate, some months it's resturants, and this month, it's spas and salons. Here's a few from Salon Ste. Germanine, on 7th St. NW.
Destination AD, DC Magazine - April06
A "Destination" ad is a 1.5 x 1.75 image, accompanied by 50 words or less of text describing a business / company who is advertising with the magazine. More difficult than it looks, the photographer must put as much into the frame as possible without overkill. Even though neither of these images were selected by the company, I feel that for an image that size, these shots work the best at grabbing your attention.
BTW, the store is an upscale menswear establishment.
